Explain what their future plans are and how they have changed in the past six years.
For as long as he could remember, Shiraishi had been exposed to the world of chemistry and nearly all aspects of the subject. It wasn't that difficult with his father, who was a pharmacist by profession and wanting at least one of his children to understand his enthusiasm for the subtle art that was chemistry. And who better to carry on the interest than his first born son?
With as much time as Shiraishi had spent with his father as a child, it wasn't long before he picked up on it as well, though that wasn't the only thing. From his mother he picked up her tendency to be, simply put, a health nut. He attended yoga lessons with her along with his other siblings and incorporated them into his daily routine and always tried to be healthy. However, currently, he wasn't as strict on himself in that as when he was younger, namely during his junior high days. How could he with the circle of friends he had?
High school and beginning years of university taught him that life wasn't all about the books and needing to please his parents with how much of a "good boy" he was. Though he still pursued the study of chemistry and ultimately deciding on the medicinal aspect of it, he found that there was more to things than just that and tennis, which he still played. But unfortunately for him, he never could entirely shake off the desire to live up to the expectations of his parents. The "momma and/or papa's boy" as his friends used to alternatively tease him to be.
However, in his third year at a university in Hokkaido, he was offered to study abroad in Milan, Italy for two years and naturally he wouldn't let the opportunity to go slip by him. It was there that he was introduced to the fine arts, particularly dancing in both formal and not so formal and a smidge in music, namely piano. Wherein yoga he could relax and center himself, in dancing he could just let go without restraint, losing himself entirely. It was something different from the relaxation gained in yoga and it was something he didn't want to give up, thus making it a part of his life along with his first interests and teaching himself to play piano as a simple hobby.
But now his two years were over and though Shiraishi had the opportunity to stay in Italy longer, he decided to study in a place that was closer to home. It'd been a while since he'd set foot on Osaka soil after all. Besides, he could always return later if he wanted to after his time in Tenipuri University. For now, Japan was the place where he wanted be.
